Xavier Mas Barberà


 

Xavier Mas-Barberà obtained his PhD in Fine Arts 2006 (Universitat Politècnica de València, UPV) in the field of Conservation a restoration of Cultural Heritage. Since then, he works as a professor on the conservation and restoration of stone sculptures and ornaments in the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. His research activities he peruses at the Polytechnic City of Innovation of the UPV. More precisely, he has participated in several national and European research projects and has been principal researcher in several projects granted by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. He has also restored sculpture works and relevant ornaments of the Valencian Heritage. Besides, he participated in many Congresses related to conservation and restoration of Cultural Heritage and published in major magazines such as Talanta, Ge-Conservación, Studies in Conservation, R&R and Journal of Cultural Heritage, and in book publishers such as Taylor & Francis Group and Springer.
